Oscar Tatsu “Ebb & Flow” @ Con Artist NYC

I finally have some time to blog about Oscar Tatsu’s exhibition I went to see last Wednesday. Oscar is a NYC based artist, part of the art collective Con Artist NYC. His first solo exhibition “Ebb & Flow” consists of mainly abstract expressionism paintings along with a few small 3D pieces. Oscar’s work usually depicts a season or fragments of his thoughts, while he enjoys working with bright colored pigments and various mediums. A few of the pieces were influenced by Ed Clark and many members from his art collective.

Here are some of the highlights his work:

The event last Wednesday included some really nice live cello by Jacob Cohen:

Live painting

Sake shots

And pizza

But then I saw a ghost in the building across the street…

…. and it was time to go, but you shouldn’t miss the closing party tomorrow (Wednesday, 12/12/12). I’m sure it’s gonna be a lot of fun & more amazing shows are coming in this hidden gallery, under Ludlow street. 119 Ludlow to be exact.
