Scarlet Hollow

If you like female-fronted metal bands like Lacuna Coil &  Nightwish you’ll surely appreciate Scarlet Hollow. Heading from Ventura, California they just released their new album “What it never was”. Progressive guitar riffs accompanied by female vocals create the tale of a person’s spiritual and emotional journey, trying to heal from the after effects of war.

“What it never was” is a complex, conceptual album with a high musicianship level, yet a lot of emotion. The songs sound new and fresh, but at the same time familiar fed by the Norse, Celtic and Pagan blood flowing in the band. As their inspiration Scarlet Hollow cite progressive metal bands like Meshuggah & Opeth as well as classic 70s prog rock, hard rock and even some folk bands.

“What it never was” was released on November 15th 2012 and is available via Amazon & Itunes. Visit the band’s website, like them on Facebook or follow them on Twitter.
