What’s gonna happen if you mix Alphaville and Filip Kirkorov, New Wave and Russian Estrada? Add a modern touch and you’ll get Dzerzhinski Bitz – unique combination of nouvelle vague and старый звук.
The band created by vocalist and group leader Wojciech Dzerzhinsky is officially based in Pavlovian-over-ear, Slovakia. According to the words of the band members it’s influenced by Edward Gil and Syd Barrett, the Polish pre-war music and the English “new wave” .
DZIERZYNSKI BITZ’s made their debut on June 2012 with “I II III” and now they’re back with “Podmoskovje / Vziat’ Siloj” – two songs capturing both of the new and the old world, the east and the west.
