Song Of The Night #62 – Devendra Banhart – Won’t you come over

dev-1

It’s about time to revive my favorite rubric of the blog. It’s been sooo long. But when a song like that gets stuck in my head for days and I literally don’t want to listen to nothing else… it’s about time.

Devendra Banhart – the Venezuelan-American charmer of the “weird pop” movement – is very close to creating the perfect love song, that carries flawlessly the butterflies of the first trembles. Cute, catchy and oh-so-sweet! Repeat. Again. And again. And again.

“I used to live alone
Just counting the pretty little flowers on my dress
Now I can’t wait to consecrate this wondrous mess”

Probably the most absolutely naive and adorable three lines in a song I can think of and believe it or not – I’m one of these twee pop cuteness suckers! Yep!

Anyway here it is. Song of the night #62!
