RØSENKØPF ‘s album release @ Weird

I went this Wednesday to see RØSENKØPF’s album release in Home Sweet Home. I love Home Sweet Home and I especially love the Weird label Wednesday nights there. Even the first party I ever attended in New York was a “Weird” party there, so I’m also kind of santimentally attached.

I arrived around 11:30 and the club was packed. I made my way to the bar and accidentally, trying the functions of the camera, took this beautiful photo of the bartender.

I also met this German girl Sarah (on the left) who liked my collar and said she’s “totally submissive” (may be I shouldn’t say this here, but you shouldn’t say this to a journalist either. xD)

Around midnight, as it was announced on the flyer  RØSENKØPF went on stage to play six songs. Here is the set list:

The show was great. I liked their stage presence, their high-skilled musician abbilities & of course the music, which is a blend of gothy ambience, noise, melody, crust-punk hardcore/industrial vocals. Definitely good stuff, which I clearly see why was presented in alt. music titans like Spin and Pitchfork [you can download the first track of the new album “Burning spirits” from Spin].

Here is a video from the show:

If you want to buy their self-titled EP on CD or vinyl you’re more than welcome to do it through here.
