Tom Dyer

Tom Dyer is an experimental/blues artist with a distinctive style and experience – his new record “I ain’t blue anymore” is the fifth since 2009 and the eight overall in his career. In the album you’ll find interesting guitar solos (“The witch”), covers of traditional songs like “John the Revelator”, deep vocals, reminding  Nick Cave & Tom Waits, rockabilly beats, passionate instrumentals (“Pass the jug”) & deep Seattle blues. There is honesty inside – the artist says he goes back to the roots and the bands that inspired him – from the first blues record he officially owned – “The Howlin’ Wolf London Sessions” to Muddy Waters, Son House and John Lee.

Dyer Ain't Blue

“I ain’t blue anymore” is a one man show – Dyer plays all the instruments in the album including electric and acoustic guitars, bass, fretless bass and guitar, lap steel guitar, slide Guitar, charango, baritone guitar, banjo, mandolin, bulbul tarang, ukulele, keyboards, saxophone, melodic, percussion… He also did all the recording, mixing and mastering, which is wow… quite impressing.

I really like the raw feelings, the darkness inside the bluesy soul of the record… Stream all the album for free through the artist’s Bandcamp or Buy the CD with four panel color cover for $9.99.

Here are the videos of the first two singles from the album: “There Be Killin'(In My Town)” and “The Witch”.
