Bryan Deister’s enchanting “Spines of the heart”

SOTH_-_Album_Cover
Trained in classical, jazz, blues, progressive rock, and modern music, Bryan writes, sings, and composes all of his music including the chorals, polyrhythms and unique instrumentation such as funk banjo and rice percussion. Seeking always to be a musician without limits or constraints, Bryan believes in no covers necessary.
His new album entitled “Spines of the heart” is dark and emotionally penetrating. We may even describe it as a brooding reflection. In general his work is influenced by classical music as by Kurt Cobain. A true rebel by heart, he bows to experimental rock/electronic fusions such as Radiohead’s “King of Limbs”.
How could I describe the tones of the album? Steer yet soft vocals with enchantingly touching melody resonance in 2 disc album containing 23 songs. Being a great fan of interesting music I got well with his one – it is beautiful, intriguing, pure… I would listen to it during the soft spring drizzle, absorbed in its magical labyrinth. It’s perfect for people who daydream way too much. I was completely haunted by “Today” and the mind-bending “Into the sky”. My sense didn’t betray me – “Into the sky” is currently charting very well on the worldwide digital radio charts, both national (#148) and indie (#5). You should definitely give a try:

Bryan Deister is working hard at Berklee College of Music, keeping up his Writing and Composition Scholarship. He hopes after Berklee to continue improvement in all facets and be able to write interesting music without starving. Along with Nirvana, Weezer, Voltaire, My Bloody Valentine, Bryan decided that dark, thoughtful, well written music is what he really wanted to be a part of. This led to him take writing music seriously and venturing off (from classical and jazz) into all of the 20th century style composition techniques from John Cage to John Lennon. We can hear them influencing upon him in a very delicate manner as allowing him to reveal what he holes up in his very heart.

My personal favorite? It definitely is “Apart of me”! I love the dark, lurking vibe and the emotion it provokes in me.
