Andrea Remordini

Italian synth-pop artist Andrea Remordini, hailing from Verona, just released his debut solo album “Non Sequitur”. Under the funky surreal cover you will find instrumentals inspired by the classic sound of Jean-Michel Jarre and Mike Oldfield.

“Although my sound is different, their instrumental albums showed me the path and provided a standard of excellence. My inspiration for melodies and arrangements is much more elusive topinpoint. Sometimes, it comes from sounds I make on my synths. Sound design is one of the activities I enjoy the most, and that often sparks melodic ideas. Things that mostly take place in the unconscious mind, I think.” the musician says.

Andrea started making music when he was 12, back in the mid-80s when he taught himself how to play piano and made earliest experiments in electronic music. Ten years later he joined Italian indie dance label as a staff songwriter/studio musician/sound engineer. And even though he enjoyed work with big European DJs and making dance tracks, there was something missing. Andrea decided to quit the gig, set up his own recording studio and voila – “No Sequitir” was born.
