NYC-based singer-songwriter Alice Sungurov’s first single “So Blind” melts quirky pop with punk-rockish rhythm all wrapped up in a creative and colorful video. Released through HitPlay Records – a subsidiary of Sony Music – the song has a catchy, naturally cute and teen-oriented sound, which is no surprise cause Alice is just 15.
Born in New Jersey, she has a very special story and a long and hard way to pass through before she could express herself in the way she does now. Alice was unable to comprehend and communicate as well as others in her first 8 years of life. By the age of 4, she was diagnosed with the Auditory Processing Disorder and her mother created a specialized arts school for her and others needing creative outlets to enhance learning and life skills.
These caring efforts, a motivating program called En-genius and a “guru” who led her into a path of spirituality helped her overcome her disorder and get where she is today. She spent last summer in India learning yoga and meditation and visited her parents’ home country of Russia – now she’s ready to rock and release a new single soon!
